Text
This book "Family, People and Culture" is an attempt of our incompetent best towards equipping students of social studies in particular and other disciplines of allied subjects of additional materials to supplement what is already available. The book has fifteen chapters, systematically divided into three parts: Part 1 covers issues on family, problems, marriage, parenting styles, conflict resolution and counselling intervention for family stability. Part 2 deals with people: biological diversity, race, chiefdoms, bands and tribes, primates, predation, hunting, economic systems and industrialism and stratification. Finally Part 3 handles all matters related to culture, such as ethno centralism, cultural relativism, languages, religion, social changes & Development, Global Trends: Such are adolescents' crisis, population crisis, aging population, poverty, income gap, culture of consumption, ICT, terrorism and retirement and a lot more. We fervently toast the hope that this "Family, People and Culture" will be useful to students, teachers, families, the general public and all lovers of knowledge. Finally, we shall remain eternally indebted to all who have in one way or the other contributed to the success of this book. We accept all errors and mistakes. We also expect constructive criticism, comments and observation as it will strengthen us in our attempt to continue to make our moderate contributions to humanity in subsequent edition of this book. Happy reading to readers.
